Why It Matters Who You Hire
Drone technology has become more accessible than ever — and so has the misconception that anyone with a drone can fly it for your business. The reality is a little different.
The FAA requires any drone pilot operating for commercial purposes to hold a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. That includes real estate photography, construction site documentation, business promotional content, and event coverage. If money or business benefit is involved, the flight is commercial — and the rules apply.
When you hire an unlicensed operator for a commercial mission, you're not just getting a pilot who doesn’t have the required credentials. You could be getting someone without aeronautical knowledge, without required airspace authorizations, and in most cases, without commercial insurance. If something goes wrong, that exposure doesn't stay with the pilot — it can reach you too.
At Excelsior Aerial Solutions, every flight is conducted by an FAA-certified Part 107 Remote Pilot with over 20 years of aviation experience. We handle the authorizations, carry commercial liability insurance, and operate within the rules every single time — so your project is protected from the ground up.
The footage should be the only thing people are looking at.
We make sure everything else is already taken care of.
